    IP.YD Unveil 120m Superyacht Design

Measuring 120m with a 20m maximum beam, the V120 is not only the latest superyacht concept to emerge from the IP.YD Design Studio but a new dynamic and futuristic concept.

This superyacht keeps an exclusive style that allows fluidity throughout the whole vessel. The fluidity can be defined by a principal curve on the superstructure that the rest of the lines follow with continuity. The entire composition revolves around the principal curve which resembles a V shape and strengthens the stability of her form.

The drive was to create areas of relaxation which work in harmony of the environment around the guests and owners. One dominant line runs throughout the innovative design which will use high standard materials throughout.

The 120m interior will reflect the design of the exterior and be able to accommodate up to 30 passengers through four doubles and ten VIP cabins on the main and upper decks as well as the two separate suites on the owner’s deck that include office, dressing room and lounge, always providing intimacy and aesthetic features that contribute to the ideal spaces for the travelers.

  • V120

    V120

GREECE, Athens. At 120m LOA with a maximum beam of 20m, V120 comes from the drawing board of Athens-based studio IP.YD. Yacht designer, Ira Petromanolaki explains how the studio attempted to create a futuristic design.

The exterior styling of the yacht creates fluidity throughout the vessel. This fluidity is defined by the inverted V-shaped curve to the superstructure, which forms the foundation of the exterior profile. The whole composition revolves around this shape, with a dominant black line forming the base. The curves meet at the centre of this baseline and give the impression that the V shape supports the entire superstructure. The design of the V120 aims to create areas that are harmonious with the environment and in accordance with the needs of the client. Luxurious comfort is guaranteed thanks to the high standard of materials to be used throughout the yacht.

The interior arrangement attempts to ensure privacy as much as possible. The main deck and decks above are dedicated to the owner and guests. The main salon and dining area on the upper deck are joined by a grand stairway and a glass elevator. The entire space has been designed with extensive glass windows, creating continuity between the interior and exterior.

Some of the entertainment areas are located on the lower deck to provide more immediate access to the water. The yacht includes a helipad, a swimming pool aft and a beach club, spa area and gym.

The steel, aluminium and carbon structure will be able to accommodate 30 guests across four double and 10 VIP cabins on the main and upper decks, with two separate suites on the owner’s deck. This level also includes an office, dressing room and lounge.

Lürssen project Orchid completes sea trials!

    14th to 16th July 2015

Project Orchid has successfully concluded her sea trials in the Baltic Sea under perfect weather conditions. Her final delivery is planned for late summer 2015.

Yachts middle east - Lurssen - Orchid - Klaus Jordan
Both Exterior and Interior design are by Reymond Langton Design.
The Exterior of Project Orchid is designed around creating a harmonious balance. From a distance, the sweeping curves and elegant proportions give the vessel feminine beauty and elegance and allow the strong, masculine details to emerge; sharp lines define the strong, sculptured surfaces that have been carefully styled to create a sharp contrast with highlights and shadows that lend the superstructure a unique form that subtly changes in different lights as the sun moves across the sky.
The balance and proportion of the yacht’s profile also allows for generous exterior decks that offer range of options for guests to enjoy, from sun-drenched, open entertainment areas to more sheltered, intimate formal spaces.
The crew is now working closely over the final months before delivery with the Yacht Management and Project Coordination teams at Y.CO, who coordinated the build throughout, to prepare the yacht for operational use.

  • CRN PRESENTS THREE INTERNATIONAL PREVIEWS AT THE MONACO YACHT SHOW

CRN PRESENTS THREE INTERNATIONAL PREVIEWS AT THE MONACO YACHT SHOW

Ancona, July 01, 2014 CRN – The shipyard specialized in the construction of steel and aluminum pleasure vessels measuring between 50 and 90 meters in length – selects the most important showcase of the International Yachting to present in advance its latest creations.

From 23 to 26 September, the shipyard of Ancona will present at the Monaco Yacht Show M/Y Atlante 55 m, M/Y Saramour 61 m and M/Y Yalla 73 m.

Three fully customized mega-yachts that confirm the dna of CRN, a shipyard which – as a model of flexibility – has always been a pioneer in the research and realization of innovative design solutions, capable to blend its own know-how with that of prominent International Designers.

The result of the excellent collaboration with Studio Nuvolari Lenard, which pencilled her outer lines, and the CRN Engineering Department, which was in charge of naval engineering, M/Y Atlante is a 55 m long, 11 m wide yacht, characterized by a deliberately very strong stylistic identity, which incorporates some elements of the military crafts. Square shapes, sharp lines and innovative solutions: these are the hallmarks of the new creation of the Ancona shipyard, which extends over 4 decks, all to be discovered for their originality.

Yachts middle east - CRN Atlante 55m

M/Y Saramour 61 m is the first CRN mega-yacht signed by Francesco Paszkowski Design. 61 m long and 11 m wide, developed on 5 decks, it is a vessel with a timeless design thanks to the external lines, that emphasize an aesthetic language oriented to the unity of the forms, and the minimal interior décor, aimed at enhancing the onboard valuable art collection. For the first time a CRN yacht of this size has been provided with an Owner’s deck: the suite overlooks an exclusive outdoor area with a private swimming pool, allowing the Owner to enjoy in the best possible way and in absolute privacy his experience on board. In order to provide guests with the ultimate in terms of comfort and services, Saramour’s two symmetrical garages – located on the lower deck – house two large tenders.

M/Y Yalla 73 m is the first CRN yacht built on a 13 m wide naval platform. Featuring extremely sleek and sporting lines, this sea jewel is home to the advanced design solutions of CRN, conceived to promote conviviality and social life on board. One example, among many, is the innovative wellness area, located on the lower deck, which includes a beach club, equipped with a vast swimming pool and a fitness area. Built on 4 decks, Yalla is a CRN mega-yacht entirely designed and built in the Shipyard of Ancona, in collaboration with Omega Architects, which projected the exterior, and the study Droulers Architecture, who took care of the furnishings, the interior design and decor.

  • CRN presents the OCEANSPORT

    CRN presents the OCEANSPORT

Ancona, 8 July 2015 – CRN, Shipyard specialized in steel and aluminum super yacht construction measuring between 50 and 90 meters in length, presents new projects conceived by Omega Architects.

The megayachts, fully-custom and developed in different strategic lengths (52, 61 and 75 meters), share the same inspiring concept, perfectly fused with the CRN heritage. The Oceansport Series adds to the ocean going properties of the CRN naval platform a sporty profile, typical of Omega Architects’ design, with low gross tonnage and sleek iconic shapes.

Each version is designed and engineered in proportion and makes the most available space for guests cabins, salons and the beach club with wellness and fitness area: sauna, gym, infinity pool and swim platform. All the three of them have a sleek styled exterior line emphasized by the long horizontal shape where darkened glass windows connect into one visual line on both main and upper decks. Each version has full height windows on both sides the salon on main deck aft, offering stunning views over the lowered bulwark and protecting guests’ privacy at the same time.
Moreover, the new Projects have an integrated hull and body through an arch, which allows the split-level beach club area. Indeed, this is a unique feature: the arch extends the aft beach area forward to the main deck seating area. These characteristics are absolutely innovative and original; the sleek low profile designed for the Oceansport line shows how a stately ocean going yacht can have a sporty character as well, with the near vertical bow and vertical pilot house window.

“We are very proud of these new projects. Our cooperation with Omega Architects and Frank Laupman continues to be fertile and fruitful and, once more, it proves how CRN seeks continuous improvements in its aesthetics and performances” said Lamberto Tacoli, CRN’s Chairman and CEO. “Our initiatives are ambitious and we are keen to take new challenges and go beyond classical boundaries. With these new projects CRN shows once again its eclecticism and its flexibility. Now thanks to this cooperation we are able to widen our offers even more showing the Shipyard’s ability in meeting the most different requests from the international yachting Owners.”

“Our relationship with CRN is based on strong connections” – said Mr. Frank Laupman, Chairman of Omega Architects – “We cooperated with the prestigious shipyard in the past: Omega Architects were part of several projects. Yalla was the first yacht to be started with us from scratch. Following closely Yalla’s success, we created a momentum that can be continued. The new Oceansport Series represents an exclusive and unique development: the series is based on existing CRN platforms to deliver a customized project and it combines a sporty soul with elegance and comfort: it is designed to be a super yacht, offering exclusive travelling in safe relaxation, exploring shallow waters and anchor closer to the shore ”.

The Sunrise 45m Atomic is a timeless yacht concepts last forever: Five years after delivering M/Y “Africa”, Sunrise Yachts launched a sister ship in August in Antalya started as “Project Sunset – Hull 182”. The yacht’s name “Atomic” remained confidential until its delivery to its North-American client as the yacht was a surprise to his family!

“Atomic” is a three-deck, deep-sea, full displacement, transatlantic, steel hull and aluminium superstructure luxury motor yacht, built to operate for private use or charter in all seas and oceans of the world.

A full-length technical tunnel running from the engine room to the bow-thruster compartment – an unprecedented feature on yachts in this category until the launch of the first vessel in the series, M/Y “Africa” – provides easy access to tanks and systems at bilge deck level.

The interior design was entrusted to the talent of Nantes-based Franck Darnet Design, who had previously designed the interior for M/Y “Africa”. In sharp contrast with the first Sunrise 45m’s dark tropical woods, “Hull 182″‘s contemporary and elegant décor will feature light veneers and a bright colour scheme.

Following the yacht’s maiden cruise in Turkey and Greece last month, the owner stated: “I was thrilled to step aboard Atomic at the launch. As I walked around the yacht I found everything to be just as designed. The team at Sunrise have built me a master piece, perfect in fit and finish and crafted with a talent for detail. It was a pleasure working with the young company owners and team as they all wanted to go beyond the norm to create a wonderful yachting experience. I love the sturdy steel hull built to be a world wide capable yacht yet designed to be miserly on fuel. Atomic will be an awesome floating family home, a base for great adventure.”
