  • World’s 10 Most Amazing Personal Submarine

World’s 10 Most Amazing Personal Submarine

Number 10 – The MIGALOO is billed as “The Ultimate Lux Sub”. It offers upscale amenities like a pool, helipad, and a large deck for relaxation. Measuring over 375 feet long by 36 feet wide, the submarine is anything but small. It bears the appearance of a traditional submarine in most aspects but the tower is custom designed in order to house a staircase and elevator shaft.

Number 9 — The DeepFlight Super Falcon is described as an underwater plane. It is built with 8.8 feet wide wings and it can reach a depth of 1600 feet underwater. It drastically differs from a submarine as it doesn’t just sink and rise, but instead uses a downward lift motion. The engine is said to be so quiet, it attracts sea life.

Number 8 — The Triton 3300/3 is a pretty radical sub. Designed to be eye catching, the submersible can carry a pilot and two passengers along for an underwater ride to depths up to 3300 feet.

Number 7 — It’s the concept behind the submarine hotel called Lovers Deep that really stands out. While most people are familiar with meaning of the Mile High Club, this upscale sub aims to gain popularity for the Mile Low Club, offering lovers the opportunity to have intimate time deep in the ocean right next to stunning sea life.

Number 6 — The Rinspeed sQuba is one serious multifunctional vehicle. It doubles as a car and sub. The open top convertible can drive straight into the water and plunge up to depths of 30 feet. Given the open top design, it’s bizarre that a wetsuit isn’t included with the car, however a tank of compressed air is built in to help passengers breathe underwater.

Number 5 — The Innespace Seabreacher is a force to be reckoned with. The crafts are designed in various forms. Some are made to replicate whales, sharks or dolphins. Described as a diving machine, the submersible watercrafts plunge below the water and jump out and into the air similar to the movements of your favorite sea creatures.

Number 4- The bizarre, cube shaped EGO Compact Semi Submarine definitely lands a spot on the compilation. While it can be used as a traditional boat that floats on top of the water’s surface, the EGO Compact can partially submerge to give sea goers awesome underwater views.

Number 3 — The Platypus Submarine is another double tasking beauty. It can cruise both on top and below the water. Riders sit on the central hull which is flanked by a pair of pontoons that are connected by four horizontal arms. Depending on the position of the arms, the Platypus can travel on the water like a jet ski or dive underwater.

Number 2- The C-Quester 3 submersible by U-Boat Worx is described by the company as a ‘robust, spacious and easy to handle submersible’. Capable of seating three people, it comes equipped with an air conditioning system. The craft can stay underwater for a total of eight hours and reach depths over 320 feet.

Number 1 — Defying typical subs, Island Watersports Hawaii offers visitors and residents the chance to explore the ocean on submarine scooters. The tour company elaborated on the crafts noting ‘Our underwater submarine scooters will allow you to view the marvels of the sea while effortlessly riding your very own self-propelled, eco-friendly electric scooter.’

  • The Streets Of Monaco

    The Streets Of Monaco

The Streets of Monaco is the first design proposal of Yacht Island Design. The theme is based around the Mediterranean principality with the primary focus being the famous grand prix circuit. The idea was to recreate the circuit as a fully functional kart track able to accommodate three karts side by side to allow for plenty of overtaking. By sizing the track in this way it has driven the overall dimensions of the yacht and the placement of the famous landmarks.

The Streets of Monaco story extends beyond this exterior architecture and into the interior spaces giving a seamless transition as guests move between the various areas of the yacht.

  • New WIDER 125 just unveiled

    New WIDER 125 just unveiled

Castelvecchio (Pu) Italy, 6th March, 2015.

Tilli Antonelli, WIDER CEO & Chairman is very proud to present to the Asia’s market his latest project, recently unveiled at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show: the WIDER 125, the result of more than a year of research and design combined with input from yacht owners and potential clients.

Fulvio De Simoni is responsible for the design of the all aluminium vessel – like the other models in the superyacht range – and this has ensured that the WIDER 125 retains the distinctive WIDER style of the W150 and the W165. The WIDER 125 also benefits from the same diesel electric technology as the rest of the WIDER family of superyachts. And, by placing the technical room in the bow, in space which is less desirable for accommodation, the engine room is significantly smaller compared to a traditional yacht and houses variable speed generators which produce sufficient power for both the propulsion and the hotel systems. This frees up significant volume in the aft quarter and results in exceptionally spacious accommodation below deck for both guests and crew.
As the first yacht builder in the world to offer a luxury yacht of this size with diesel electric propulsion, WIDER is leading the field in making cruise liner technology available to the yacht owner. The shipping industry is full of examples, from ferries to military craft, that choose diesel electric over other forms of propulsion due to its outstanding fuel economy, range and, above all, reliability. Recent advances in battery technology have created a wonderful opportunity for the modern yacht owner that WIDER is delighted to satisfy with the WIDER 125.

Guests are treated to four lavish staterooms that stretch further aft than on a traditional motor yacht of this size, well into the area usually reserved for an engine room. Each one has a well-proportioned ensuite bathroom, and particularly generous shower rooms.

The crew benefit from three twin cabins, a sizeable cabin for the Captain next to the wheelhouse, and an ample crew mess. A central corridor gives direct access to the engine room, located at the furthest point from the guest accommodation.

The master stateroom is on the main deck, and a high bow allows this to extend forward without spoiling the sleek lines of the yacht. The owner’s study is situated further aft and includes a large opening terrace that can also be reached from the stateroom.
There are two different options for the galley location, to cater to regional preferences.
For the US edition, the galley is located on the main deck, accessed through a spacious pantry to the portside. Crew can enter the galley through a side door or directly from the crew quarters without disturbing the owner or guests. In this case, there is ample space on the lower deck to fit a gym. For the European market, the galley is on the lower deck and the main deck master cabin can be split to accommodate kids and a nanny in a “family zone” or used as a gym.

Yachts middle east - WIDER 125 interior

The WIDER 125 has an ample beam of 7.93m (26 ft) making the main deck saloon remarkably airy and light, with floor to ceiling windows on either side. The bulwarks drop in correspondence with these windows to allow guests to enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views of the ocean.

On the upper deck, aft of the wheelhouse, a sky lounge leads out to an inviting aft deck. Sliding full height glass panels can divide the two areas, when necessary, or open to create an impressive inside/outside sun deck, ideal for entertaining.

There is no shortage of open air relaxation areas, the upper aft deck is kept free for sun loungers and exterior furniture. Forward of the wheelhouse, a large seating recess is carved into the superstructure. For those who prefer to relax closer to the water, the stern garage opens and the aft swimming platform extends to create a plunge pool and expansive beach club.

There is ample tender storage, creatively hidden from sight whilst at the same time easily accessible. A tender garage is located forward, above the power generation room. There is capacity to stow a 5, 5 m tender along with two jet skis and a MOB tender fits comfortably on deck. All of the tenders and toys can be launched and retrieved by a crane that is housed out of sight within the yacht’s superstructure.

Our mission in designing the WIDER 125 was to offer exceptional range, without compromising the alluring, modern lines that Fulvio De Simoni and WIDER have become known for. A range of 2,600 nm is expected at 12 knots, and this increases to 3,600 nm at the economical speed of 10 knots. The yacht has a top speed of 14 knots and can also run solely using batteries in zero emission mode.

  • CRN launches the 134th hull in its history ‘ ATLANTE ‘

CRN launches the 134th hull in its history ‘ ATLANTE ‘

Ancona, 9 May 2015 – CRN, the shipyard specialising in the construction of steel and aluminium pleasure vessels between 50 and 90 metres in length, held a private ceremony this morning to launch its hull No. 134 – a 55-metre megayacht that stands out for her very strong, unmistakable personality.

This yacht is the outcome of the outstanding job performed by design firm Nuvolari Lenard, that pencilled her outer lines, and CRN’s Engineering Department, which was in charge of naval engineering.

Nuvolari Lenardi had already successfully cooperated with the Shipyard on several megayachts, including 43-metre ‘Magnifica’, 46-metre ‘Clarena’ and ‘Saramour’, and 72-metre ‘Azteca’.

“Launching a new yacht is always a moment of great pride for the entire Shipyard” – says CRN’s Chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli – “as emotions go hand in hand with the satisfaction of knowing that each and every one of our products is going to represent our brand and Made-in-Italy yachting across the world’s seas. The ‘ATLANTE’ is an extraordinary jewel – a very innovative one – we can truly be proud of. We are deeply grateful to the Owner Company for choosing us to build such an extraordinary yacht; to the design firm Nuvolari Lenard, that through the ‘ATLANTE’ have once more confirmed their incredible creativity; and to all CRN’s workers and subcontractors who were involved in this project from its very beginning to its final completion”.

Entirely built in Ancona, this yacht can boast a purposely strong stylistic identity, which draws inspiration from some elements typical of military crafts: square shapes, sharp lines, and innovative, sophisticated design solutions – these are the distinguishing features of the Ancona-based shipyard’s brand-new yacht.

The ’ ATLANTE ’, 55 metres long and having a 10.20-metre beam, develops over 5 decks featuring strikingly original solutions.

Architect Dan Lenard commented: “We conceived and created this new yacht together with CRN following the requirements of the Owner Company. The outer lines have been developed having in mind a specific final look – aggressive, but at the same time very proportionate. Seen in her entirety, this is a high-impact yacht, whose determined military look becomes soft on the sea. This is why we found some original solutions, such as a non-traditional bow and areas entirely devoted to guests, like the side doors of the main deck that, once the tenders have been launched, can be exploited to the fullest”.

The ‘ ATLANTE ’ is equipped with two 1230 KW @ 1800 RPM CATERPILLAR engines that push her to a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

The motor yacht will now undergo all final fitting-out activities and technical trials before leaving port and cruising in international waters.

New launch for CRN: the Eight, the first refit of a CRN yacht, is back in the sea

28 May 2015 – CRN, the shipyard specialising in the construction of steel and aluminium pleasure vessels between 50 and 90 metres in length, held a private ceremony this morning to launch the refit of a 46-metre vessel.

The yacht – designed by CRN’s Engineering Department, in cooperation with the international design firm Nuvolari Lenard, which pencilled her outer lines – develops over 4 decks and can accommodate up to 12 guests in her master stateroom and 5 VIP cabins.

“Only a few weeks after the launch of the 55-metre Atlante, we are very proud to be launching another magnificent vessel today” – comments CRN Chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli – “This is an important and strategic moment for our Shipyard, as it marks the first step along a new development path, the refitting of CRN yachts, which we believe can be an interesting opportunity for our Company’s future. The Eight is a first outstanding example of this, and we are all feeling great pride”.

Sobriety and style, streamlined and elegant lines, airy spaces and very refined interiors: these are the main distinctive features of this yacht, which stands out for her stylish dark blue hull and her contemporary, sophisticated décor – a fil rouge that runs through the different onboard areas and rooms.

The Eight is equipped with two 3512 B KW Caterpillar engines that push her to a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

  • Pershing 108

    Pershing 108

    PERSHING 108 THREE-ENGINE MASTERPIECE
In order to fully understand and appreciate the extraordinary innovative force of this futuristic 108-foot yacht, it is helpful to explain the concept of “performance” as Pershing sees it: “Speed, comfort, and fuel efficiency”. And thus the design innovation represented by three engines meets not only the power requirement, but also those of onboard living space and fuel savings.

Not only do three engines reduce weight and make maintenance easier, but they allow transfers to be made using just the middle engine, with imperceptible noise and extraordinary range as it glides over 1,070 nautical miles at 10 knots. Then if we want to use two engines, the cruising speed rises to 23 knots, which becomes 42 knots with the full power of all three engines (still accompanied by a delightful silence of between 69 and 75 dBA). Another winning feature of the P 108 is the liveability and spaciousness at the disposal of the yacht owner and his or her guests. Total volume is almost that of a 115-foot yacht (510 cubic metres versus the 535 cubic metres of a 115). Liveability obviously has everything to gain from this extra space. When the stern folding door is activated, an enormous room of 70 square metres leading to the spacious cockpit is created.
    Yachts middle east - pershing 108 - 7
Another key feature is the natural lighting provided by the large windows that embellish the lower deck area. Like every masterpiece, the P108 is a unique and incomparable work of art thanks to the customisability of its interiors: colours, furnishings and designer pieces. The same standard layout, with four guest cabins and three crew cabins, can be customised as well. As on all Pershing boats, the onboard technology is state-of-the-art.
