The launching of the new 60 metres CRN is approaching

Ancona, 5th February 2014 – Less than a month to go to the launch of the new 60 metres megayacht in steel and aluminium designed by CRN, part of the Ferretti Group and specialising in the construction of fully-customized displacement megayachts, made of steel and aluminium, ranging from 40 to 90 metres. Hull number 133 of the Ancona shipyard will be launched on March 1st at a private ceremony.

At the shipyard of Ancona work continues in view of the preparation for the ceremony: indeed, the megayacht was moved, with the help of a hydraulic travel lift, to the slipway, an inclined surface where the pre-launching operations will be carried out in the coming weeks while work on the interiors will continue. All the handling phases required great care and attention on the workers’ part.

This spectacular phase presents another work of art produced by the shipyard in all its grandeur. The external shape and internal layout of the new superyacht have been designed by Francesco Paszkowski in close collaboration with the CRN Technical Department which took care of the naval project, while the interior design was taken care of by the CRN Design Department in collaboration with the Owner’s Designer.

The vessel is strongly streamlined thanks to its sleek profile and elegant and sharp exterior lines which offer large external and internal volumes. The design solutions developed by CRN will offer constant contact with the marine elements.

At the moment, besides the 60 metre, 5 vessels of the CRN brand are being manufactured: namely, 3 steel and aluminium megayachts – CRN 131 74 m (designed by Zuccon International Project), CRN 132 73 m (designed by Omega Architects) and CRN 134 55 m (designed by Nuvolari & Lenard) – together with another maxiyacht of the Ferretti Custom Line, the CL 124’, and a Riva 122’ Mythos made of aluminium.

  • CRN launches M/Y CRN 133: 61 meter of Made in Italy built in Ancona

CRN launches M/Y CRN 133: 61 meter of Made in Italy built in Ancona

Ancona, 3rd March 2014 – In a private ceremony, this morning in Ancona, CRN Spa, part of the Ferretti Group specializing in the construction of fully-customized megayachts, made of steel and aluminum, ranging from 40 and 90 meters, launched M/Y CRN 133, the 61 metre megayacht designed by the architect Francesco Paszkowski.

The yacht is the result of the work carried out by the entire shipyard and a combination of skills and expertise: the external profile and the internal layout have been designed by the architect Francesco Paszkowski in close collaboration with the CRN Technical Department, which took care of the naval project, and the CRN Design Department.

Extreme dynamism, movement of structures and clean and sleek lines are the features that characterize the personality of this vessel and make it recognizable and appreciated.

For the first time on board a CRN megayacht of this segment, there is a deck for the sole use of the Owner, which makes it possible to live the sailing experience in the best way possible in utmost privacy, in maximum comfort.

Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman and CEO of CRN, declared: “The “christening” of a new yacht is always an exciting milestone for the Owner and the entire Company. Particularly, we take pride in this launch because it is the eighth megayacht in the 60mt segment of in the last ten years. Each launch reflects the work done over many years and the beginning of new prospects for the future. CRN, now more than ever, has confirmed itself amongst the leading companies that build pleasure ships, taking pride in representing Made in Italy in the world”.

After the launch, the yacht will remain in the Shipyard until the end of April: in the coming months, technical tests will be carried out and the final details of the interior fittings will be put in place, before it is finally delivered to the Owner.

At the moment another 5 vessels of the CRN brand are being built: namely, 3 steel and aluminum megayachts – CRN 131 74 m (designed by Zuccon International Project), CRN 132 73 m (designed by Omega Architects) and CRN 134 55 m (designed by Nuvolari & Lenard) – together with another maxiyacht of the Ferretti Custom Line, the CL 124’, and a Riva 122’ superyacht Mythos made of aluminum.

Moreover, 2 Letters of Intent have been recently signed for the construction of two 44 meter “SuperConero” megayachts, inspired by the historic line of the seventies, and another Letter of Intent for a 68 meter superyacht, the biggest ever realized for the Asian market.

133° hull produced by the shipyard of Ancona, made of steel and aluminum, has an overall length of 61,3 meters and a 10.20 meter beam and is equipped with two Caterpillar 3512 C-C 1’230 kW@1800 rpm engines, which allow it to navigate at a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

The construction of this megayacht is the joint work of the CRN Technical Department, which took care of the naval project, and Francesco Paszkowski, who designed the exterior and interior lines, in close collaboration with the CRN Design Department.

The megayacht, with 5 decks and a sub deck, can comfortably host 12 people, distributed in 5 guest cabins and the Owner’s suite, and 15 crew members.

On the main deck there is a large main salon with a dining area, which can be reached from the aft. Towards the bow there is a lift for the guests and a circular lobby, which separate the salon from the sleeping area, which consists of two VIP double en suite.

The lower deck has another three VIP double cabins, each with its own bathroom, and towards the bow there is a crew area with 6 double cabins. Towards the bow, just before the engine room, there are two large garages which can hold two great tender.

The entire upper deck consists of the Owner’s apartment and features a large external dining table and a large indoor skylounge. Towards the bow, separated from the lobby by a lift, there is the Owner’s suite which can be reached from the Owner’s study. For relaxation, the Owner has a square spa pool at the far bow, which can transform into a sundeck. It is worth mentioning the geometry of the main shaft which, thanks to its hollow structure in the central part, allows guests to have a full view from bow to stern while relaxing.

Unlike all the other 60 meter built by the shipyard, this yacht has an extra deck: a fly deck, used as a well-being area and for the captain. In fact, from the stern forward there is a fitness area with a large glass surface and a skylight, a hammam and a circular lobby, which separates the captain’s cabin and that of the crew from the pilot house.

Finally, the sun deck, is furnished with a circular spa pool and is completely protected by windscreen glass.

  • CRN is presenting two new projects by Francesco Paszkowski Design

CRN is presenting two new projects by Francesco Paszkowski Design

Ancona, 15 December 2014 – The CRN shipyard, which specialises in the construction of fully-custom steel and aluminium pleasure vessels between 50 and 90 metres in length, is presenting two new projects by Francesco Paszkowski Design.

“The Saramour was our first opportunity to cooperate with a prestigious shipyard like CRN and was a drive for us to jointly develop new, innovative ideas” – says Francesco Paszkowski – “These two projects are a natural evolution of the stylistic features of their 61m predecessor and the result of a deep analysis and an extensive research aimed at finding the perfect balance between outdoor and interior spaces”.

The relationship with the surrounding elements – air and water – is a key feature in these yachts’ concept, which has been turned into reality by creating terraces overlooking the sea, outdoor swimming pools, wide glazed surfaces and, obviously, a spacious beach club (a distinctive element on CRN yachts) – all aiming at ensuring direct contact with the sea.

In a nutshell, the design philosophy that lies behind the creation of the two new megayachts is based upon three founding principles: increasingly slender lines that result a very light silhouette; rounded shapes making the yacht generally more compact; and an extensive use of linear glazed surfaces as well as see-through balconies, which stylishly eliminate any barriers between the yacht and the water, air, nature.

“We are currently working on many new projects. With these two by Francesco Paszkowski, in particular, CRN is aiming to prove once more its flexibility and constant focus on aesthetic, functional, and technical innovation”, concludes CRN’s Chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli. “Together with Francesco we therefore want to widen CRN’s offer in terms of design, with projects that will turn into timeless superyachts characterised by huge interior volumes, which will be immediately recognisable across the globe”.

    72 m M/Y CRN

This fully-custom, steel and aluminium 72m long and 12.50m wide vessel develops over 6 decks and includes 5 VIP cabins and a whole apartment for the Owner, with a terrace and a private swimming pool or – as an alternative – developing over two levels.

This 72m project flawlessly blends together the rounded shapes of decks and the more linear and square ones of the glazed surfaces. Huge areas have been reserved for onboard socialization and relaxation, as proven by a number of dining areas, an entertainment area on the upper deck, a gym, a sauna, and a massage room for guests.

    80m M/Y CRN

This fully-custom, steel and aluminium 80.10m long and 13.50m wide yacht develops over 6 decks and includes 5 VIP cabins, all arranged on the main deck, and a whole apartment for the Owner on the upper deck, featuring a business area, a gym, and a massage room.

This 80m project stands out in particular for the very large aft area and focuses on the guests’ wellbeing, featuring three outdoor swimming pools and a wide beach club. The latter comes in several possible versions, including one with a tropical garden – the final goal always being a closer contact with nature.
