    PERSHING 108 THREE-ENGINE MASTERPIECE
In order to fully understand and appreciate the extraordinary innovative force of this futuristic 108-foot yacht, it is helpful to explain the concept of “performance” as Pershing sees it: “Speed, comfort, and fuel efficiency”. And thus the design innovation represented by three engines meets not only the power requirement, but also those of onboard living space and fuel savings.

Not only do three engines reduce weight and make maintenance easier, but they allow transfers to be made using just the middle engine, with imperceptible noise and extraordinary range as it glides over 1,070 nautical miles at 10 knots. Then if we want to use two engines, the cruising speed rises to 23 knots, which becomes 42 knots with the full power of all three engines (still accompanied by a delightful silence of between 69 and 75 dBA). Another winning feature of the P 108 is the liveability and spaciousness at the disposal of the yacht owner and his or her guests. Total volume is almost that of a 115-foot yacht (510 cubic metres versus the 535 cubic metres of a 115). Liveability obviously has everything to gain from this extra space. When the stern folding door is activated, an enormous room of 70 square metres leading to the spacious cockpit is created.

Another key feature is the natural lighting provided by the large windows that embellish the lower deck area. Like every masterpiece, the P108 is a unique and incomparable work of art thanks to the customisability of its interiors: colours, furnishings and designer pieces. The same standard layout, with four guest cabins and three crew cabins, can be customised as well. As on all Pershing boats, the onboard technology is state-of-the-art.

IP.YD reveals Primo 103 superyacht design

Greek studio IP.YD has revealed a 31.6m superyacht Primo 103 concept designed to incorporate features normally found on larger vessels.

The size of the Primo 103 was the result of a request from an owner who felt the size suited his family’s needs. But spaces such as a large fold-down swim platform are intended to make guests feel they are on a much larger yacht. This beach club can be further extended by transforming the adjacent tender garage into a lounging space. There are more generous outdoor areas up top too.

‘The sundeck provides a large outdoor Jacuzzi and large sitting area,’ says designer Ira Petromanolaki. ‘ a spacious sky lounge for relaxation that communicates with the dining area, thus the dining area outdoors or indoors alternatively.’

The exterior design features a smooth curve that starts at the stern and follows the form amidships. It creates what Petromanolaki describes as a ‘dynamic surface, which gives the impression of the movement of a wave’. This surface unifies the main and the sundeck and it is intensified by the detailed black surfaces.

The Primo 103 can accommodate eight guests in four cabins, including one VIP and one master. The interior style is a work in progress, with the client preferring a modern and contemporary look.

  • Pershing launched its third pershing 108 foot maxi yacht

Pershing launched its third pershing 108 foot maxi yacht

Fano (Italy), June 2015 – Over the last few days, the Marina dei Cesari in Fano (Italy) has experienced another thrilling occasion in the glorious thirty-year history of Pershing.

The third unit of the Pershing 108 has descended into the water, rewarding the commitment of all the Mondolfo production shipyard workers and of the Pershing quay too, who, due to the marine weather conditions, had to pay the utmost attention during the travel lift movement and launch operations.

During these weeks on board this fantastic three-engine vessel, the interior furnishings and non-structural décor will be completed. The interior of the new maxi yacht has been entirely customized by the Owner, who was assisted in every design stage by Ferretti Group’s architects and designers, to create a ship that fully reflects his style and aesthetic taste.

At the same time, technical testing will be carried out on the new vessel, on the systems, and all the control and infotainment software will be checked, in addition to the performance trials.

These tests – carried out with the utmost care by Pershing’s engineers and Ferretti Group’s Engineering Department – are extremely important for a brand such as Pershing, which for 30 years has made technological and engine performance, as well as constant product innovation, its mission to guide its future.

After the official delivery to the European Owner, the new Pershing 108 is ready to plough the waters of the Mediterranean, its thrilling beauty embellishing the most captivating views of the European seas.

    Pershing 108
The Pershing 108, from its very first appearances, has surprised and impressed owners and enthusiasts over the world, thanks to its extraordinary mix of versatility, innovation and technology, which makes it a maxi yacht that’s ahead of its time.

The result of collaboration between yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department’s team of engineers, architects and designers, it’s a perfect sample of the brand’s DNA, where a versatile layout – which can be completely personalized in terms of décor by the Owner – is paired with the most innovative on-board technology.

The concept of on-board personalization is a good fit for the supple, distinctive lines that characterize the yachts of the Pershing fleet: aggressive profile, extensive use of glazing on the sides and – naturally – peerless performance.

The Pershing 108 is a truly state-of-the-art maxi yacht, also in terms of its propulsion system, divided into three engine for the first time, with the aim of guaranteeing great performance and with environmental impact in mind. In the shipyard version, the Pershing 108 has three MTU 2638 mHp (1939 kW) 16V 2000 M 94 L diesel engines and, thanks to its three surface propellers, it may achieve a top speed of more than 42 knots.

The Pershing 108 can manage high travel ranges, exceeding 1000 miles at 10 knots and with very limited consumption at these speeds. With only the central engine running, this yacht can be very quiet at low speeds.

In the absence of high load conditions, it can plane even with just two engines and reach speeds worthy of note. Generally speaking, extremely high levels of comfort have been measured on board. Translated into DbA, this means a new benchmark for this yacht category.

Highly significant performance meets the “family feeling” that over the years has made all the models in the Pershing fleet unique and recognisable.

The Pershing 108, 32.90 m long, has 4 guest cabins and 3 dedicated to the crew, and offers customers the possibility of choosing from various interior layouts, with a view to providing even more versatile, customized spaces.
