Navetta 28 wins the Adriatic Boat of the Year 2015

Forlì, 14th May 2015 – Navetta 28 continues its international success with a prestigious Award. The maxi-yacht of the semi-displacement Custom Line won the Adriatic Boat of the Year 2015 award in the Motor Yacht over 51 feet category. The prize was conferred during the 20th edition of Internautica, one of the most renowned European boat shows, held in Marina di Portoroz, Slovenia.

Navetta 28, “sister” of Navetta 33 Crescendo, debuted last September at the “Cannes Yachting Festival 2014” and immediately earned unanimous acclaim from both media and the public, leading to the launch in recent weeks of the second unit, entirely customized by its Owner.

The Adriatic Boat of the Year 2015 awards ceremony brought another big success for the whole Ferretti Group, that earned 2nd place in the same category with the Pershing 70. The dual accomplishment certifies the absolute excellence of all the Group’s brands over 50 feet in length.

    Custom Line Navetta 28
The new semi-displacement maxi-yacht by the brand belonging to the Ferretti Group – entirely built in the production facility in Mondolfo (PU, Italy) – features a host of new elements, recognizable from the unmistakable outer profile and the panoramic dining area, with a circular sliding glazed door system that enables a very flexible use of the upper deck.
The broad sun-deck is a comfortable private deck that can be fitted with a Jacuzzi and an awning upon request. On the main deck, a continuous glazing stretches from bow to stern, and the lower deck features four innovative hull windows at the height of the guest cabins, installed for the first time on this model.
The most absolute innovation is found in the aft area, where the Dual Mode Transom (DMT), a Ferretti Group patent, makes it possible to combine into one single system a floodable garage, a bathing platform, and a beach club of dimensions unprecedented on any other models of this size.
Further innovation can be seen in the audio/video equipment, thanks to the “VOTIS” system (Videoworks One Touch Infotainment System), which makes it possible to use an iPad to control the on-board entertainment system, thereby replacing all the remote controls of the various A/V equipment in the main deck salon with one single device. The control system can also be extended to the other areas of the yacht.
Performance wise, the Navetta 28 is fitted with two MAN V8 1200 mhp engines that allow it to reach a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 13.5 knots. The yacht is equipped as a standard with electro-hydraulic stabilizing fins with “underway” function and gyroscopic stabilizers.

    Van der Valk delivers Jangada

Second yacht in new Continental Three range

Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands has launched the 25-metre Jangada, the second motoryacht in its Continental Three. The design was realised in a close cooperation with Nick Top, Guido de Groot and the experienced owner. Together they have created a highly distinctive look which combines an overall modern appearance with subtle classic touches.

Jangada is a fine example of the myriad options available for Van der Valk owners in general and for the Continental Three series in particular. For example, Jangada is fitted with the Volvo Penta IPS system, a joystick-operated pod-type boat drive system with counter-rotating forward-facing propellers. Yet the Continental Three series is also perfectly suited to a conventional shaft driven propulsion system.

In a similar vein, the all-aluminium Jangada has a semi-displacement hard chine, moderate V-shaped hull while future Continental Three owners might also opt for a fast displacement (round bilged), aluminium planing (hard-chine, moderate V hull design) or steel full displacement (hard-chine or round bilged) version.

The interior of Jangada was designed by Belgian designer Nick Top (appointed by the owner) and Guido de Groot Design. The foundations are whitewashed English oak and clean, straight lines, with a wealth of thoughtful details and a very open feeling.

The yacht’s layout and GA was established by the owner and Nick Top, with advice from Guido de Groot. Automatic sliding doors connect the saloon from the spacious aft deck area. A floating polished stainless steel stairway leads from the saloon up to the helm station and flybridge deck. The dashboard features both perforated full-grain leather and spotless rapello suede, produced by Moore & Giles from the finest hides and upholstered into an unprecedented cockpit console.

The main deck forward accommodates the day head, galley and crew quarters. The crew quarters comprise two cabins, a bathroom and a crew mess. An illuminated stairway grants access to the lower deck areas, which are divided into four cabins: the full-beam master with two walk-in wardrobes, the VIP suite, and two guest cabins. Each includes an ensuite bathroom, ensuring maximum privacy for owner and guests.

Jangada’s outside spaces are particularly impressive. The spacious aft deck features a large dining area with a small pantry, and provides plenty of shade thanks to the extended flybridge awning. The rest of the flybridge deck is uncovered and includes a U-shaped dining area, a wet bar with grill, sink, fridge and ice-maker, and a large sun bed forward of the two-seat outdoor helm position. The aft section comprises an Opacmare crane with a capacity of 600 kg and houses both a 4.5-metre tender and a PWC.

Van der Valk – Continental Yachts has been constructing both steel and aluminium motor yachts since 1968. The family-owned shipyard is located in Waalwijk, The Netherlands, with founder Wim van der Valk still a driving force behind the company. The yards offers their semi-custom Continental series of motor yachts, with the layout, interior and style of yacht offered as “custom-built” according to clients special needs and wishes.

    92′ Duchessa

Slender and sinuous lines trace the harmonious profile of this yacht.

The master cabin is located at the bow and is separated from the engine room by the remote control area (which is accessible from the cockpit) and by the spacious full-beam bathroom located behind the bed.

The new glazing with two portholes lets in plenty of light and ensures effective natural ventilation. The master cabin can be accessed directly from the main deck through an independent door.

Another peculiarity on the 92’ Duchessa is that the garage can host a tender up to 3.20 meters in length and a jet-ski; alternatively, thanks to its lowered position, the garage can be fitted with a sliding chaise longue, thus creating an additional relaxation area just above the sea surface.

PERSHING 82 THE MISSILE DISGUISED AS A YACHT
Words fail us when we look at a masterpiece, so we have to settle for numbers: 24 metres long and 5.50 metres wide, with a weight of 57 tons that move at the fantastic speed of over 45 knots with a 300-mile range. All this while being able to calmly chat in a normal tone of voice because the noise levels have been calculated at 70 dBA. Here is another prestigious statistic: threeWorld Yacht Trophies that heralded its debut at the Festival de La Plaisance in Cannes.

So you will understand why this fabulous 82-footer (heir to the P80) has been called “the missile disguised as a yacht.” Setting aside its missile-like turn of speed, let us cite its comfort and and other qualities: the sundeck that can be reached with the retractable carbon-fibre stairway, the famous folding and retractable French door that separates the cockpit and lounge, and the luxurious and high-end interiors furnished by Poltrona Frau.

    PERSHING 92 THE STUNNING BEAUTY

When you see it arriving, majestic and aggressive, it looks like a shark waiting to attack the next wave. That is because the fusion of the aerodynamics of the hull and the sea is truly complete, just as the liveability of the Pershing 92 – designed to discover new frontiers of fun and comfort every day – is unsurpassable. Its design is more Pershing than ever, reflected in its simple and more streamlined profile with taut lines that allow the interior space to be enlarged, giving the lounge and aft cockpit on the main deck in particular unheard of breadth and comfort.

There is everything you would expect to find, from the windows of the superstructure and the extensive glazing to the wide folding door separating the cockpit from the lounge. The sundeck has also undergone innovative upgrading. It is even roomier with added space to ensure ultimate relaxation and privacy on board. Two prestigious Italian companies in the home furnishings industry contributed to the ultra luxurious interiors: Poltrona Frau for the wheelhouse and all of the seating, and Ernestomeda for the kitchen.

  • The 88’ Domino Super gets its first triplet

The 88’ Domino Super gets its first triplet

La Spezia, 14th July 2015 – While enthusiasm is still lingering in the air for the fabulous première held last May in Monaco, the Riva 88’ Domino Super is already celebrating its first achievement: just a few weeks after its official launch, Ferretti Group announces the sale of the first 3 hulls of the new Riva coupé yacht.

“The official presentation of the 88’ Domino Super at the Yacht Club de Monaco was a very exciting moment and now, we can surely say that event was the starting point of what is already a commercial success. Less than two months after, Riva and the Ferretti Group are proud to announce the sale of three yachts”, commented Ferretti Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Stefano de Vivo.

The three yachts have been sold in three different markets, showing how the 88’ Domino Super has been welcomed enthusiastically at an international level: the first hull will go to an Owner from continental Europe, the second one will be delivered in the Asia-Pacific, meanwhile the third will cruise across Middle-East seas.

These are the first positive results of a commercial strategy aimed at confirming the leadership of the Ferretti Group’s most iconic brand across the world.

    88’ Domino Super
The 88’ Domino Super is characterized by a slender profile and an extensive restyling, the 88′ Domino Super is bound to set new standards in the yachting sector as a whole in terms of style, comfort, and performance. The new model is called Super also because it marks the evolution of the species. The 88’ Domino Super yacht immediately strikes the eye with its aerodynamic lines, which are also enhanced by the hull’s original colour shade, the dark ‘London Grey’, in pleasant contrast with the lighter ‘Moon Grey’ chosen for the superstructure. This innovative feature goes hand in hand with other new design solutions: the new sun deck, which highlights the yacht’s sporty character while offering its guests additional comfort; the large continuous hull glazing, resulting in a truly aggressive look; and the restyled aft area, which adds the final touch to the yacht’s dynamic personality. The aft swimming platform, which can be lowered into the sea, makes diving into the water and getting back onboard much easier, as well as enhancing tender launching and haulage operations.

In the standard version, the yacht is equipped with two MTU 16V 2000 M93, 2435 Mhp engines, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of 34 knots. As an option, two MTU 16V 2000 M94, 2638 Mhp engines can be installed instead, pushing the yacht up to 40 knots and ensuring a cruising speed of 35 knots.
