    Thunderbird 2

Brilliant Boats and BB Yacht are proud to announce the delivery of Thunderbird 2.

Fans of Gerry Anderson will understand immediately what this vessel is all about, but if not, a little explanation may be appropriate….

Designed to carry a 3 PAX, 1000m capable Triton submarine (Thunderbird 4, of course!), Thunderbird 2 features an 8.5t capacity hydraulic platform for launch and recovery of the sub and other toys, along with the array of battery chargers and oxygen storage and transfer systems required to fully support the submarine.

Overall dimensions are 22m x 10m, and being based in the Caribbean, her full load draft of less than 1.1m, allowing access to places unimaginable in a conventional yacht.

Lightweight aluminium construction to DNV HSLC, and an interior in balsa, honeycomb and Forex, means she weighs in at just over 54 tons lightship, and has a full load displacement of only 72 tons, including 7 tons of fuel and 8 tons of Triton 3300/3.

The interior, styled by Miami interior designer Karine Rousseau, offers spacious accommodation in 2 lower deck suites, one for the Owner and one for guests, and huge entertaining spaces, a day head, office and large galley on the main deck. A flexibly mounted and heavily insulated interior means that even at full speed, sound levels are a super quiet 65dB in the lower deck accommodation and 72db on the main deck.

The aft deck is the center of operations for the submarine, with a dedicated sub support locker, but also has dive bottle storage and filling, a fuel pump and davits for the tender and large swim steps with bathing ladder for easy access to the water. Forward is an al fresco dining area, a giant sun pad for relaxing, and barbeque and bar area with built in fridge and ice maker.

2 Yanmar 8SY engines (900hp ea) and Hamilton 521 waterjets provide performance of 22 knots at full speed and a transatlantic range at an economic cruise speed of 10 knots.

Although built for a private client, Thunderbird 2 complies fully with MGN 280, allowing him the opportunity commercialize this unique package.

A sistership (The White Cat) is already under construction and is available for delivery in 2015.

    Pershing 74

PERSHING 74 THE FIRST WITH A SUNDECK

In deference to the famous and legendary Pershing 72, we could say that this Pershing 74 resembles not an evolution, but rather a revolution. Many substantial restyling components and innovations have generated an extraordinary and advanced boat.
    Yachts middle east - pershing 74 - 5
In the words of the designer Fulvio De Simoni, the main objective was “more sun area without having to touch the by now established line of the yacht.” This objective was achieved by creating a sundeck easy to reach with a retractable carbon-fibre stairway, an area for sunlight and entertainment that is an addition to the aft and forward sunpads.
    Yachts middle east - pershing 74 - 6
Total comfort and maximum liveability are provided by the folding glass door that can separate or join the cockpit and lounge. The exterior of the P74 is stunning with a profile that is even more streamlined than its predecessor, due to the cut of the larger side and complete with an openable porthole. As always, Pershing stands for speed, but in utmost comfort.

  • Azimut Magellano 66

    Azimut Magellano 66

Magellano 66 a megayacht in just 20 meters that offers the freedom of long range cruises with the comfort and elegance of home.

The first model will be available starting in the summer of 2015, but the design of the Magellano 66 started long ago. It is built on the same foundation that makes all Magellano Collection yachts so special: the ” Dual Mode ” hull. The goal is to offer a versatile boat that provides a comfortable ride even in moderate to rough seas. Accomplishing this required developing keels that were profoundly different from those found on planing hulls. Magellano hulls soften the impact of waves, cutting through them with the vertical bow. At the same time, the significant forward volume minimizes pitch and provides constant buoyancy support, even when the boat is descending the trough of a wave. As a result, the water has a hard time reaching the main deck, providing a sense of security both to those piloting the vessel and their guests. The Magellano is a design that allows you to eat up the miles; the pleasure of cruising in its purest form, under the banner of Italian Design elegance.

The Magellano 66 takes this philosophy even further with surprisingly spacious interiors for its 20 x 5.4 meters. The main deck is all on one level; it has a large sliding door facing out over the cockpit all the way to the bow where the pilot station and galley are located. The main deck features elegance, functionality and a breath-taking view of the horizon. Highlights include a large L-shaped sofa facing an impressive bar cabinet, up to 50 TV cabinet, and a dining table oriented across beam. All this comes with the standard version of the Magellano 66.
Yachts middle east - Azimut - Magellano 66 - top
There is also a Navetta version. Positioning the internal stair amidship means the saloon/dining area can be separated from the piloting and forward galley area, for unprecedented privacy surpassing that of even bigger boats. The crew can carry out their jobs without having to access any of the boat owner and guest spaces. The door to the side walkway is from the galley, allowing the crew to reach their own cabin without crossing the saloon. At the same time, the boat owner and guests can access the saloon from their accommodations, without having to cross the galley and piloting station. The Navetta version also enjoys an expansive view out over the water, with sliding doors and panels that also facilitate mooring.

On the outside your eye is drawn to the integrated terrace to the extreme aft of the flybridge, a design detail that puts the Magellano 66 in the big leagues. The culmination of a spectacular open deck, the terrace can be outfitted for the perfect relaxation environment, complete with comfortable cushions, scenic lighting, and an awning to shade the living area. Just like the Magellano 53, at the bow of the Magellano 66 there is an additional lounge area, here even more welcoming and private.

The storage space for all on-board and free-time equipment is unparalleled. There are enormous storage spaces in the bow and on the flybridge. On the lower deck, there is a large owner suite at full beam. Here, the spacious quarters are bathed in natural light for an elegant but also practical space with ample stowage. The owner has all the space they’ve always wanted with his and her spacious closet, chest of drawers, vanity, and an additional huge storage area under the bed.
Yachts middle east - Azimut - Magellano 66 - interior
The closets in the VIP and guest cabins receive the same attention. Both cabins offer something extra because, as everyone says, there is never enough space on board. The fourth cabin is designed as a utility room but, upon request, can be outfitted as a cabin with bunk beds. The washer and dryer are conveniently located along the corridor.

With two Volvo Penta D13 800 HP diesel engines, Magellano’s performance is perfectly in line with the philosophy of a modern Long Range yacht. Travelling at 9 knots in full displacement mode, it has a range of over 900 miles (including a 10% reserve). The double chine Dual Mode hull provides a purposeful shape that optimizes cruising both in displacement and planing modes, for a cruising speed of 16-18 knots and a maximum speed of 22 knots.

PERSHING 70 ON THE WINGS OF THE FUTURE

Watching the world quickly slip by as you relax peacefully in a soft and hushed place, free and protected. It sounds like the introduction to a meditation course, but it is exactly what you will experience while seated comfortably in the cockpit, enveloped by silence, while your Pershing 70 plows the waves at over 47 knots and the sea whisks by in the side windows.
    Yachts middle east - pershing 70 - 4
The merit of this phenomenal mixture of speed, comfort and performance (the Pershing 70 ‘s performance and consumption peak is at 39 knots!) is down to the design that merges good looks and function with the fundamental role of technology and the power of its engines. One just has to take a look at the latest generation Autotrim that makes driving easy even for the inexperienced, and even more fun for those who want to put their foot down.
    Yachts middle east - pershing 70 - 3
In any case, life on board will be lit by the large glass surfaces and the luxurious and sophisticated interiors with three cabins with bathroom and an automation system worthy of larger yachts. And for those who watch you from the dock or from another boat, the two large side wings will be the sign that Pershing has once again created an enviable masterpiece.

  • Azimut 77S Innovation for beauty’s sake

Azimut 77S Innovation for beauty’s sake

Four boats sold in pre-launch: the Azimut 77S seems to have already taken the road to success in the wake of his younger brother Azimut 55S, the best-selling of which, two years after the launch, were produced as many as 40 units. The yacht embodies that special synthesis of stylistic innovation, technology, and functionality found in all the Italian boatyard’s latest models. The pivoting stern platform for maximum flexibility, the wave-piercing vertical bow “for the first time introduced with the Azimut 55S – the single large deckhouse window, the glazed roof, superior performance, and enhanced fuel efficiency thanks to three engine configuration coupled with Volvo Penta IPS transmission are just some of the main features.

The most striking quality of this new jewel in the Azimut Yachts S Collection is its streamlined silhouette designed by Stefano Righini. The furnishings and interiors by Carlo Galeazzi are the ultimate in style, with the polished Zebrano wood and hand-sewn leather rendering them breathtakingly precious. There is no doubt about it, Azimut 77S is beautiful.
Yachts middle east - Azimut 77S - interior
Azimut 77S is also extremely functional, light-filled, and spacious. The salon and dining area are an explosion of natural light coming from the large lateral windows, the nearly three-metre wide glazed entry doors, the bow windshield, and most of all from the glazed roof. Azimut 77S is literally full of surprises. The crew area is below deck to the stern. It includes two cabins and a bathroom with separate shower, accommodating up to three crew members. The owner cabin is at full-beam amidships and is a real spatial tour de force. The VIP cabin to the extreme bow is also spectacular, as are the two lateral cabins, obviously each with its own bathroom. Triumph of space on the sundeck too with and a large sunpad and a pilot station.

The innovative features of the Azimut 77S just keep coming, including the engine room. Instead of the more traditional two engines set up, the Azimut 77S is equipped with three Volvo Penta 900 HP Diesel engines, each with IPS transmission. The avant-garde solution means that the engine room is better organised and takes up less space. It also provides for maximum ease of handling and steering and ensures outstanding performance coupled with greater fuel efficiency. This model also has a specially designed keel for superior performance with a maximum speed of more than 36 knots and increased fuel efficiency of approximately 350 l/h at the cruising speed of 32 knots.

The new 77S joins the other upcoming season offerings – the Azimut Grande 95RPH and the Azimut 50 Fly “debuting at the September 2014 boat show in Cannes. The yacht embodies beauty and sportiness, further incontrovertible proof of Azimut Yachts ” role as ” ambassador of Made in Italy boating worldwide”.

  • Pershing 64

    Pershing 64

When it made its first appearance, everyone thought it was such a synthesis of innovative design and advanced technology, that it was natural to present it at the Milan Furniture Fair moored on the Naviglio waterway. And when it made its debut at sea, the pershing 64 was immediately renamed “the missile.” In fact, its maximum speed tops 47 knots, experienced through the famous monolithic windscreen and enjoyed in the comfort of the leather-upholstered Poltrona Frau seating.

    Yachts middle east - pershing 64 - 1

As is customary at Pershing, performance goes hand in hand with liveability. The versatile lounge can create a single room when merged with the cockpit or, when the folding French door is used, become two separate areas. Amazing to drive, to experience and to look at, the P64 has streamlined and aggressive lines emphasised by the single side window that projects a diffused and exciting luminosity inside.

  • Azimut 80

    Azimut 80

    Dedicating space to well-being.

The new 24 metre Azimut Yachts interprets contemporary lifestyle by offering exceptional comfort: four cabins, five bathrooms and a 42 square metre flybridge. The innovative solutions introduced for the furnishings and the precise lighting design do the rest.

The new Azimut 80 is the first yacht measuring more than 72 feet designed entirely at Azimut’s headquarters at Avigliana, Italy. It builds on the experience of recent, larger vessels developed in the exterior design by Stefano Righini while the design of interiors was handled by Achille Salvagni Architetti.

The Azimut 80 is a leisure craft built in CE class: A, and is thus able to tackle any weather conditions. The layout comprises 4 cabins, all with bathroom, including the owner’s cabin extending over the full beam. The yacht can accommodate 8 guests and includes an enormous flybridge, designed for maximum versatility of use.

ALWAYS IN TOUCH WITH THE SEA… AND PLENTY OF SPACE: THE GUEST IS KING
Panoramic windows and maximum convenience for the guests’ cabins revolutionise the way of cruising.

The sense of space in the owner’s cabin and in the splendid bathroom are certainly among the strong points of the yacht, together with the innovative windows offering extraordinary luminosity and an unmatched panoramic view. The five vertical windows effectively transform the bulkheads into a single window for a ‘dive into the ocean’ effect. The owner’s bathroom, covering the entire beam of the yacht and with a double entrance located aft of the cabin, is almost a spa, with a central crystal shower box offering maximum visibility on either side of the bathroom. The opening portholes present in all the cabins offer a high level of natural ventilation.
    Yachts middle east - Azimut - 80 - Interior - 1
In the first model available, dove coloured leather panels with a barely hinted padded decoration that becomes lighter and lighter in the various cabins, adorn the bed heads of each cabin. The interior decoration of the new Azimut 80 is extremely refined and at the same contemporary, thanks to the combination of fine materials and modern touches: marble for the bathrooms, grey bleached oak alternating with dark wood and painted detailing in the skylights and windows all define a sober, sophisticated atmosphere. Other stylistic combinations are already in the pipeline.

The starboard cabin has two single beds and the possibility of a third fold down bed, plenty of stowage and a bathroom with separate shower, while the guests’ cabin on the port side has a double bed. There is no lack of large windows and opening portholes. In the VIP cabin located further forward, there is one panoramic window on either side; the bed is set centrally with the head towards the bow.

A carefully planned lighting design based on LED technology makes possible a sophisticated modulation of the light in each interior space. Moreover, the play of mirrors and the height of the interiors – well over two metres high – ensure a truly exceptional sense of space.

The crew’s cabins are located aft, with direct access from the deck; at the moment, two beds are planned, but the possibility of adding a third is currently being studied.

A SALON AND INTERNAL SPACES BROUGHT TO LIFE WITH LIGHT
Light and comfort are the key concepts underlying the design of the main deck.

The cockpit with teak flooring is extremely spacious and dedicated to socialising, with a large sofa aft and dining table seating eight. The design of two sky ground windows (1.6 m by 2 m of glass) located in the dining area is very impressive, as it offers a fantastic natural light and breathtaking view.

The galley, fitted with Miele appliances, is available in two versions: enclosed or open space. In both cases, there is a double access, towards the interior and towards the exterior, to assure maximum independence between guests and crew. The main deck is also equipped with a function day toilet.

LIVING IN THE OPEN AIR: EXTRA LARGE SPACES TO BE ENJOYED UNTIL THE EVENING
The swimming platform measuring almost 9 square metres and the large fly are the pride and joy of the new Azimut 80.

The swimming platform is incredibly large – almost 9 square metres – and provides plenty of room for the launch and retrieval of tenders exceeding 4 metres in length or of jet skis.
Further forward, the space is divided into a large sun deck that can comfortably accommodate four people, and an area with a ‘C’ shaped sofa just aft of the windscreen, with further storage.
    Yachts middle east - Azimut - 80 - Interior
The fly: 42 square metres of versatile space lending itself to a variety of uses. The seating is a combination of ‘L’ shaped sofas that can be configured as desired. Alongside the helm, there are two sofas positioned in a ‘C’ facing the large table seating eight. The fly is an ideal place from morning to evening; a convenient and well equipped bar unit has a barbecue, refrigerator and sink, but also houses a retractable 42 inch TV and constitutes the base for an elegant Plexiglas bar counter. Further aft, the second area offers maximum flexibility in terms of fittings: it can be left unencumbered, furnished with sofas, set aside for the tender or as a sun deck, or fitted with a hydromassage. The Azimut 80 can also be constructed with an opening hard top and rolling awning towards the stern. A sophisticated style is assured for the outdoor soft furnishings, lined in technological materials offering a ‘fabric’ effect. Coloured dark brown, they include some padded details.

In the engine room, the two 1550 hp MAN engines provide a top speed of 30 knots. The fuel tank has a capacity of 6,000 litres, while the water tank can contain 1,200 litres. As optional extras, the yacht can be fitted with electric CMC Marine stabilising fins.
